Cling-Ware, now there's a euphemism...LoL
Uninstalling McAfee will result in pop ups
begging you back @ a discounted rate.
It also leaves registry entries that
hinder installation of any other AVS.
Here's what I did to completely remove MacAfee.
1; After using the program uninstaller,
Restart, then check the Task manager
for any instances of McAfee, turn them off.
2; Next run a files/folders search on drive C using
the keyword "MacAfee".
Then delete or erase (overwrite) everything found.
3; Finally, use Regseeker "find in registry..."
using the keyword "MacAfee".
Delete everything found.

If the McAfee uninstaller, doesn't work (shows error, then shuts down)
Do this...
1; using the task manager, shut down every instance of McAfee.
Then follow steps 2 and 3.
Restart, and you should be good to go.
BTW, I do this anytime I uninstall any program.
Uninstalled programs leave many files and folders
in various Application Data folders, along with
registry entries, that are not needed.
