thats a nice cpu but youll get a better response from the black edition am3 bulldozer with simultaneous 32 and 64 bit computing....6 cores and 128kb per core level 1 cache and 1mb level 2 cache for each core and 8mb level 3 cache shared across the board...plus its a full sized 125w cpu and is not nobbled by power restrictions .....there are some response times which are a bit dodgy with the 4 core and the 6 core just utilizes 64 bit tech to its fullest capacity...remember to check the mobo for nvidia...if the onboard is nvidia then an 8 gb nvidia cad card can give you screaming results...but if your deal is games and not work...then go with the 4gb 590 gtx from gigabyte..its sweet sweet music when you match nvidia front side bus and nvidia performance cards...oh and for sound an audigy 64 bit sound card can share resources with nvidia cards to take the load off the cpu and increase performance across the board...and also remember usb3 technology which is recognised by xp but requires specific drivers to work at its maximum file transfer speed...
