hey boomersooner,
ok...if your worried about security for uploading and sharing files over any cyberspace technology then consider this..
get truecrypt....develop a file holding encryption space.....load the files you wish to share into the truecrypt directory....go to google and develop a cloud drive space....log into the cloud drive...load the truecrypt file into the cloud drive.....up to 8 Gb will be accepted i think...email your recipient with the url and truecrypt unlock code....your friend has to have truecrypt loaded....he opens truecrypt and then opens the file with the key you provided in your email....if you are really paranoid then you can use an encrypted email server ...there are several good ones which are not based in the usa....the only catch is you can not share publicly with this system....if you want to share publicly then encrypt with winrar and provide a 24 character unlock key as a file attachment to the cloud drive...not really secure but if the google space is setup through tor then ip addresses related to the cloud drive cannot be traced...good luck..
triple encryption using 256 bit encryption algorythms and keys of more than 24 characters such as truecrypt would take a cray computer logically daisy chained by 20 approx 18 yrs to brute force attack the encryption and break into the data
have fun
