and my pc won't do all that it is capable of without spending extra dosh on a graphics card, but who needs 3d transparent writing, and i don't play games on it) and hewlett-packard help desk were very useful when setting it up! i use firefox as my browser, and my old 98se used to take 12 hrs to defrag, my new system does it in 20 minutes each week with no effect on my surfing (i had to defrag overnight in safe mode with my old hurdy gurdy pc, downloading is the bollix and i store what i get on an extra seagate drive connected via usb (it's 250gig and nearly full, so i will get another one, i tried the western digital extra hd and it was shite with drama, seagate plugged and played) dont be tempted to use the 64bit windows (you get the choice on set-up) but fuck all programmes are written for it yet, do the 32bit windows thingy. my only limits are how good the phone line is. i spent much time researching models, and don't feel i made a mistake! the wireless mouse eats cheap batteries by the week, however, so i am now trying rechargeable, as the gold top mountain climbing rabbit ones are too fucking dear! for preference it needs better speakers, and i am looking at the bose ones, but they are £200 which is about $1500 now, i think;>)
