One last thing before I hit the hay, because there's no way I'm going to share this with anyone other than one of my geek pals:
I'm sitting here fawning over my most recent purchase: the big, honkin', $30.00 at Wal-Mart, Batman Tumbler -- Mattel's Stealth Launch Batmobile -- which features the launch-able Bat-Pod (Bat-Cycle).
Oh, yea. I also stopped by Barnes and Noble to pick up the latest issues of Rue Morgue, Fangoria and Asian Cult Cinema.
True bliss. So simply attained, too.
I don't think 50 years of age was quite the same thing back in my grandfather's day. Of course, I'm sure they had dorks in their village, too, but *those* poor guys never had access to anything nearly as cool as Mattel's Stealth Launch Batmobile!
:::::drool, drool, drool:::::
Of course, they didn't need to make up such ridiculous, face-saving excuses, either: "This looks like something my nephew might really like!" (I don't even *have* a nephew, fer crying out loud!)
Well, thanks for being there, pal. Thanks for being there. LOL
Oh, yea. The only reason I even went into Wal-Mart in the first place was to pick up some frickin' *tooth paste*!
The wife should know better by now. She really should.
