There are those outside your area who may not be have to face what you face, but are more than aware of the situation and would be very supportive of any realistic solution, whether it was politically popular in some circles or not. Will not go beyond that, because I don't wish to turn what is a constructive discussion of a big problem into a political or ideological argument. Thanks to everyone who has contributed, esp. Itza who started the ball rolling and to you for giving us all a better insight into what is perceived by some to be a regional problem, but is actually a serious national issue.
