My distaste for some of the current public information is both semantic in the use of "bullying" and society's faddish cluck clucking at every alleged insult, or disrespect people can dig up - "political incorrectness", insults, ie "shaming".We used to just call it "teasing" < the hurtful kind>.
The commercial about kids, per se is ok, good even. I would rather, though, they simply tie it to something like "do unto others, as you would have them do unto you", however phrased, rather than bullying. State the harm teasing and harassment does. That would be fine. Add a message to parents on teaching their kids on how to act.Thats where it starts. A kid caught being mean should learn what it feels like by a few whacks on the behind, having his stuff quarantined, whatever.
Frankly the private religious community does abetter job with this sort of thing, than government. I like the "_____ ", pass it on! commercials for example.
Talk about being nice to one another. Drop the faddish buzzwords and enabling of over sensitivity. People should learn to blow off stupid insults. Why listen to idiots? They aren't going to stop, just because its the latest thing on radio.
I don't think Dalek was pointing at kids, btw, in his remarks.
Just my 2 cents, maybe a nickel ;)
Edit: spelling typo
