Subject: I don't think so...

but there are politicians well over retirement age who are still collecting large salaries when someone younger and possibly more in touch with the modern age is unable to represent people.
My view of politicians in the UK, Spain and Portugal is very dim; lying, lack of principals or integrity, endemic corruption.
Regardless of their perceived "wisdom" they should become ineligible at some point in time.
Even if their replacements are just as devoid of honour and respectability, at least there would be a possibility of change in their behaviour, no matter how slight.

As for ordinary people, only the self-employed can continue working beyond 65 as far as I know.
