Subject: Re: RenWell ,I tend to agree with you on that . I don't know why we don't go metric . Here in the USA , most of our products are labeled with both systems , with the "english" measurement being dominant i,e ( 4fl oz (118 mL) ) . What really screws me up is that my job is working on industrial machinery and I had to buy two sets of tools . The stuff made in USA has has bolts that are of the old system ( measured in inches ) and all of the imported machinery is metric . My toolbox at work weighs about 800 lbs , or around 400 or so kilograms . Probably half of the tools in there I wouldn't need if we had gone metric back when everyone else did . But , such is life , and this is where I live .
