You have to go to Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Languages tab -> Details and you can add French if it's not already there. You can also set the key sequence that will switch between the languages. This is in XP.

We have keyboards like that in the CR. We have many special characters - but we only have two symbols that make them as opposed to three. Let's see if this works: ´ˇ
