I can understand the issues with bringing an attractive woman together with a capable dog, filming the scene and cutting it properly would have to be the easy part.
A company making thousands should be able to plop down a few dollars for a digital camera and pay some film student to shoot and edit properly.
I could do it.

As for real amateur footage - just people making their own - heck I like the graininess of it all, it hightens the realism if anything!
