I have the uneasy suspicion that future generations will judge us very poorly for our treatement of the environment (which is now obvious) and animals, especially those of proximate intelligence. Like we should already know better and are willful in our blindness.
I read about a third of the pdf before time caught up with me, so I don't know if culture is covered or not, but some of the stories I've read really seem to indicate that other species are developing cultures of their own (I've read compelling arguments for apes and whales) and if that's true, and I think it is, then it would appear as if we are standing by (if not actively participating) while multiple genocides are being commited.
