I really didnt want to clarify but I will. While there are some out there I am sure that share out their pets just to watch, I would imagine the numbers are very few. The majority of pet owners would rather enjoy with their pets what they do on a regualr basis, and are prolly more so bored with the ideas of sharing their pets with someone thats petless and can only offer to use the pet owner for access. Myself personally, if the other person has no pets, then they have no real reason I should allow them to meet mine. I would get just as much out of it to hand them my dogs and go watch a movie while they do the deed. Dont really give me much reason to take the risk to meet. In nearly 30 yrs I have met MANY. And those I have met lurk these boards quietly and usually never avail their names to the public as a pet owner. They just stay quiet and watch and see who is, and contact them discreetly. I know, because I am one of them, and I have met many that tell me the same. There are a number you'll see that offer pets indescriminatly in the personals board, and most of them I would bet money, are infact, not pet owners when it comes right down to it, and just do it to talk a line. There are those that will bitch about my negative diatribes here and call me full of it, but the bottom line is that a lot of what I say has already in fact been seen and proven many times. Like I tell all that are hunting...'Just make the change and take the commitment like the rest of us have and get your own." No one ever said it was easy. Having all the dogs and horses I have, I am more well aware than most how difficult it is. But the difference is I wanted it bad enough to make the changesm take the sacrifices, and do what it took to have being a zoo as part of my life, rather than living my life as a petless wanna be using others pets for access. Living in a nursing home is a good reason, living in an apartment, working too much, etc....all excuses. They are all choices made that put you in that position. So make the choices to change things so you can have pets. you work too long a day? Get 2-3 dogs so they can keep each other company while you're gone. Theres always a way. Dont make the money, change careers. Thats what I did. I turned my entire life inside out to live my life the way I wanted to. it wasent easy and took a lot of dedication and sacrifice to get there, but I did it. And if others dont have the similar kind of dedication it takes to do something as easy as owning a dog...then they dont deserve the intimacy of my pets. Most of the pet owners i met in nearly 30 yrs of this all speak similarly in real time meets.
