radiohead are prolly under their own label so even 25 cents per album dlded is more than they would get with a big company, so the donation thing was a genial way to skip the physical media and distribution costs.
But here is the funny part.
They sold physical media of their album
wich came into the form of limited editions.
tey made a few thousand of those, at differnt price range and some went for a few hundred bucks.
So add up a few thousand multiplied by a few hundreds, that is a lot of dough.
Plus all they got from the net dlds.
That is a great way to have more in your pocket if ur a band. But it was all calculated, don;t go and think that radiohead are philanthrops.
