These guidelines are not hard and fast, but give a general steer to not ruffling any of midnitecrow's feathers:
Do not post totally in capital letters - midnitecrow feels it makes his forums look untidy and some people consider it to be a form of written shouting. If you do post in capitals do not be surprised if you get some negative responses in your string, or your post may even be deleted by a Moddy.
Do not post multiple strings - each new post knocks another off the bottom of the Forum. It is true there are archives that regulars can look into, but you need to know the date of a post to find it quickly. If you wish to add more information (or point people at multiple URLS) do so as a reply to your original post - it does not matter how big any string gets, this does not push other topics off the forum.
If one of your posts vanishes it has probably been deleted by a Moddy. Do NOT repost it. Nothing can be guaranteed to piss the Moddies off more. If you cannot work out why the post was deleted then visit the Administration Forum and ask why there - Administration Forum
Light hearted or humerous banter is acceptable but aggressive flaming or personal attacks are not permitted. Various actions can be taken by the moddies if you persist, starting with the deletion of your posts right up to (in very rare circumstances) you being excluded from visiting the Forums.
Some Forums allow HTML code, some don't - you will only find out by trying
If pointing the regulars to a website URL it is better to replace http with hxxp - this means the address has to be cut and pasted to the browser's address line and the xx replaced with tt.
Do not post underage material or references (deemed to be 18 years old worldwide, even if some countries and States allow a lower age of consent).
Do not post commercial Spam or set up automated daily posting routines.
Do not post off topic material if the rules at the top of the Forum state that off topic is not allowed (some Forums are more general and may allow off topic items of interest).
Do not post passes to commercial sites, do not ask for passes, do not offer to trade passes and do not post links to hacker/pass cracker/ backdoor sites.
Treat newbies with patience and respect- particularly those with questions that may be obvious to the regulars.....remember, we were all newbies once (and probably knew nothing other than our itching desire)...so bite those tongues and refrain from snide, disparaging or downright rude remarks....offer some help and encourage them to stay to become an active part of the Forum.
Do not enter ANY posts in the adult forums if you are underage yourself in whatever country or state you are a resident of. The Forums and the forum owner and moderators will not be held responsible if you are underage and are apprehended by the authorities for posting or downloading material from any midnitecrow forum.
